Alpha® Dressing Stick

The Alpha® Dressing Stick is used to expose new cutting surfaces and re-open glazed diamond blades and grinding wheels. The 60-grit silicon-carbide block quickly removes sinter bond from the cutting edge and can also be used to ease sharp corners on cured stone or tile, restoring fast, free cutting action to any worn diamond tool.

When should I use a dressing stick?

Whenever a diamond blade or grinding wheel slows down, glazes over, or stops cutting cleanly. Re-dressing exposes fresh diamond and restores cutting speed.

Can I use this on grinding cup wheels and polishing pads?

Yes. The dressing stick can be used on most metal-bond diamond cup wheels and worn polishing pads to refresh the cutting surface.

Wet or dry?

Dry. Run the saw or grinder at speed with water OFF, make several light passes, then restore the water feed before resuming cutting.

How long does one stick last?

A single 8" stick will typically re-dress dozens of blades. Replace when it is worn below a comfortable hand-held length.
