  1. Open the jaw and slide the clamp over the slab edge.
  2. Tilt the slab slightly so the jaw bites into the rubber lining.
  3. Have a second worker fit a matching clamp on the opposite edge.
  4. Lift together; the slab weight locks each jaw in place.
  5. Set the slab down fully on a rack or buggy before releasing.
  6. Wear gloves and steel-toe boots throughout the carry.
