Alpha® DS Style Grinding Wheel for Natural & Engineered Stone (4")

The Alpha® DS Style Grinding Wheel is a 4" resin-bonded wheel engineered for lightweight grinding and shaping on marble, granite and engineered stone. Its exclusive "No Bounce" resin construction reduces operator fatigue and improves control on delicate edge and bullnose profiles while still removing stock quickly. The 5/8"-11 threaded arbor fits most high-speed angle grinders and wet polishers up to 14,500 RPM, and the wheel runs equally well wet or dry.

  1. Verify your grinder or polisher does NOT exceed 14,500 RPM at the wheel.
  2. Thread the DS4C11 onto the 5/8"-11 spindle hand-tight, then snug with a wrench.
  3. Allow the wheel to spin up to full speed before contacting the workpiece.
  4. Use light, steady pressure and keep the wheel moving — let the diamonds cut.
  5. Wet operation extends wheel life and controls silica dust; dry operation is acceptable for short passes with proper dust extraction.
  6. Inspect for cracks or glazing before each use; replace if the bond surface is damaged.

What materials can the DS4C11 be used on?

Granite, marble, engineered stone and other softer materials. It is engineered for shaping and lightweight grinding rather than heavy bulk removal.

What does "No Bounce" mean?

Alpha’s proprietary resin construction eliminates the bouncing common to standard diamond cup wheels, giving the operator better control on delicate edges.

Can I use the DS Style wheel on a wet polisher?

Yes. It is rated up to 14,500 RPM and works on slow-RPM polishers as well as high-speed grinders that stay under that limit. Wet operation extends life.

What sizes are available?

The DS Style wheel is currently produced in 4" diameter only.
