Alpha® introduces the WDP-320 Wet/Dry Variable Speed Polisher… This unit is an updated version of the WDP-120 and although the general appearance of the machines are similar, we have made a major overhaul on the tool to make it a more durable and dependable tool. The major upgrade came in the form of a heavy-duty gear system that includes a step-down transmission and a bevel and pinion gear to produce the variable speed range of 700 to 2,500 rpm. Thanks to the high-tech machine center, we have all parts precision-machined to reduce noise and vibration during the application. This upgrade ensures a long-lasting tool life and a comfortable application. Other changes include the spindle which is now specially coated to reduce friction extending the life of the oil seals. The water hose is now all-weather flexible & kink-free. The electrical power cord has an inline GFCI. The WDP-320 Hybrid Polisher comes with the Ecoguard G attached which provides for wet and dry tile edge polishing without the typical mess. It delivers the best quality polish on concrete countertop surfaces when used with water, or hook up a vacuum cleaner for dry concrete floor polishing without the dust. In addition, by removing the Ecoguard’s Front Cover and attaching the Magnetic Plate, you can polish right up to the wall. The WDP-320 now has hose lengths of 15 ft. and are bundled by 3 ft. of an EasyOn-EasyOff sleeve that improves the maneuverability of the polisher. It comes with a standard C-Handle for torque-oriented applications, such as dry polishing on concrete using a 5” disc. In addition, a standard Side Handle for the general edge polishing applications is included.

Can I use the same carbon brush set I purchased for WDP-120 on WDP-320?
Answer :
No. Unfortunately you need to use the designated carbon brush designed for WDP-320 since they are not the same parts.
Question :
Can I use WDP-320 for cutting application?
Answer :
No. Alpha® doesn’t recommend using a polisher for cutting applications due to the lack of peripheral speed you can get using the max rpm of the polisher.
Question :
How can I use WDP-320 for dry polishing application?
Answer :
You need to remove the EasyOn-EasyOff Sleeve from hoses and remove the whole water supply assembly from the polisher. You then connect to a vacuum to obtain a virtually dust-free dry sanding and polishing application.

Is the Limited Warranty the same as before (90 days)?
Answer :
No. Alpha® warrants this product against defects in material and workmanship for a period of 1 year from the date of original retail purchase.

What diameter discs are used for edge polishing applications?
Answer :
Alpha® recommend using a 5” diameter for all polishing applications with WDP-320. You may be able to use 3” and 4” diameter polishing discs, however, the water distribution and stability are optimized with 5” so that it is much easier to use the 5” discs.

What kind of maintenance do I have to do on WDP-320?
Answer :
Alpha® recommend the daily discharge of water from the water hose and spindle. We also recommend to blow dry the inside of the motor housing to keep motor dry and blow dust out from moving parts, if compressed air is available.

Where can I send the WDP-320 for repair and maintenance?
Answer :
You can purchase spare parts from Alpha® if you have a maintenance shop within your company. If you would like to get local service, please take your tool to your local Alpha® dealer or other tool repair shop who offers repair and maintenance services.
