Aardwolf AVLP4 Vacuum Lifter

The Aardwolf AVLP4 is a pneumatic vacuum lifter for lifting and tilting stone slabs such as granite, marble, and other heavy materials. Powered by compressed air, it tilts smoothly from 0° to 90° for safer, more efficient slab handling. The AVLP4 (base model) is rated for a 1,000 kg (2,204 lb) class load.

Features

  • Pneumatic tilting — smooth 0° to 90° vertical/horizontal tilt
  • Four vacuum pads, 19.7" x 11.8" (500 x 300 mm) or 20.5" x 12.6" (520 x 320 mm) — selectable each
  • Runs on 72 PSI (5 bar) shop air; ~6.4 CFM (180 L/min) consumption
  • Vacuum tank holds suction during a sudden air/power loss for safety
  • Audio and visual low-vacuum alarm (battery differs by model — see specs)
  • High-strength aluminum handle encases the air and vacuum lines
  • Handle extends 3" to 4.2" for operator comfort

  1. Connect clean, dry shop air at 72 PSI (5 bar) and confirm the vacuum pump primes.
  2. Attach the lifting eye to a rated crane hook above the combined slab + lifter weight.
  3. Seat all four pads flat on clean, sound stone with no chips under the seals.
  4. Open the slide valve; wait for the gauge to reach the safe zone before lifting.
  5. Lift slowly and use the 0°–90° tilt to orient the slab.
  6. Set the slab down fully before releasing vacuum; confirm support, then vent the pads.
